American Legion Post 149, Escondido, California is proud to present the inaugural Escondido Veterans Festival. The theme is "Celebrating 100 Years of Hometown Heroes." Festivities will include a parade, art display, patriotic storefront decorating contest, and will culminate with a Backyard BBQ and Veterans Day Ceremony at the American Legion Hall. If you want a booth at the American Legion Post during the barbeque after the parade, go HERE. If you want to have booth on Maple Street, go HERE.

We will have 70 spots to participate in the parade. The participation form is currently being edited. Please provide us with your contact information (so that we can follow up with you), and you will immediately receive a participation form in your email. The deadline to submit your form is Sunday, November 3, 2019.

**Please note: Due to a turn in the middle of the parade route, all entries must be under 20 feet in length. You must submit an up to 50-word statement about your entry that will be read by the announcers while you pass by them. Please try to make your statement reflect this year’s theme and express appreciation to all veterans and those who have served. All statements are subject to edit.

I recognize that the event can be dangerous to me and anyone else, and I accept those dangers. I understand that if I or anyone else is injured as a result of my participation, this waiver will be used against me. I agree that any photographs or videos taken during the program hours may be used for future promotional purposes. I also understand that no employee or agent is authorized to modify this waiver.
