Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones – Represents nearly I million constituents in the 40th State Senate District including much of East and North County including the San Marcos and Escondido. Senator Jones is the son and grandson of US Air Force Veterans and his grandfather was a POW in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Senator Jones was first elected to the state legislature in 2010 and has prioritized legislation supporting our California veterans, including his top priority to exempt Military Retirement and Survivors Benefits California State Income Tax.
